I'm feeling really excited, because I've been waiting for this to happen.

I went for the volunteer interview at Ren Ci Hospital (yesterday, since its in the wee hours of 2am already). It was a really casual interview, and I also learnt more about the organisation and the patients in it. To care, and to love, to show empathy was the few main reasons that I have chosen to occupy my time this way.

Its sad to know that some patients stay in the hospital for almost 15 years. Its like since I came into the world as a baby until the stage I grew up, now. This means that they have been seeing the same walls, same bed, same window, same food.. its kind of sad, isn't it? Also, I have learnt that some patients can be rather emotional, especially when their friends pass away. Putting myself in their shoes, I think I would be really grieved by that, if I have no family to love and show concern, and your close friend just passes away on one fine day, you just have no idea who to turn to next.

embrace life.
grades are not about everything.
just do what I like, and whatever pleases me.
