Beauty of a Moai statue
When I came across these pictures, I felt that it seemed like they've stepped on a sacred island.
The uniquely carved statues seem like it has some internal magical powers.
Trying to tell you that it is forbidden, or maybe cursed.

I don't know the symbolism to the statues yet hmm...

"The meaning and purpose of these capstones is not known, but archaeologists have suggested that the moai thus marked were of pan-island ritual significance or perhaps sacred to a particular clan."

Isla de Pascua, Chile (Easter Island) Moai of Ahu Akivi - by Jason Devitt.

These row of statues seem to me like a family of the inhabitants blocking your way. Left to right: Baby, Little Brother, Little Uncle, Little Brother II, Fat Uncle, Fat Uncle's Twin, Fat uncle's wife, Fat uncle's twin's wife, (now where am I?) One beside the sun, Breadwinner of the family - the Papa, the Mama, the Grandfather (must be tall), Grandmother (short), Auntie, Tall Auntie, Servant. (teeheee- !)
