YLTC and an ominous day
This was what I wrote 2 weeks back, before the vietnam trip! (super lag post.) whatever~ -

TODAY.

My dad changed sing dollars to Vietnamese dong for me! NOW I’M A MILLIONAIRE! Hahaha, seriously why do they like so many zeros! I’m wondering how many millions do you have to spend one day in the market if go and buy some groceries. Sounds expensive! In that case, how long should one’s bankbook be in order to contain all the ZEROS, if one were a rich vietnamese?

YESTERDAY.
Haha, today I had a rather rotten morning ever since I got out of my house.
Lucky for me, I’ve just realized that the exco meeting will start slightly later, else I’d be late since I left house at 10.35 when meeting was initially set at 11.30. Then I had a nice walk with mom to the bus-stop and stopped by the fish shop to see the rainbow fishy for a while.

The bus came after a long wait. I managed to get a seat on the bus but it was facing the side. The people on the bus were packed like sardines. I had to balance my bag with this laptop in it and also my YELLOW Umbrella. (the weather has been quite unpredictable lately, don’t you agree?) So, I read Richard P.Feynman’s book on ‘What do you care what other people think?’, which I had borrowed from Yiyuan .

[unlucky1] I guess I was so deeply engrossed in the book that I missed the busstop. By the time I tilt my head up I was somewhere near Dunearn road. Everything seemed outlandish to me but yet again I felt as though I’ve been through this road before (which I did, because I leads to NAP). Then I think I was somewhere near KAP mcdonalds. Hence, I alighted and went to mcdonalds and wanted to chill there.

[unlucky2] Arrived 15 mins before 12nn, I waited a little while before it was lunch time (McValue Lunch) Then, When I saw my watch showing 12.01pm. The queue at the counter was like AKSJDEIHFKDS(this means its hard to describe and I cannot find a word for it, ok maybe im just exaggerating)!? I HAD TO WAIT SO LONG FOR MY TURN. When I ordered I specifically said “no upsize” , “what drink? Erm… Sprite” Then when the stuff were put on the tray (which supposed should be mine, I HOPE), It was: MEDIUM and COKE. AHHHHH, it was until I ate half my burger that I realized that hey, I should be the one drinking sprite! Why has it become coke suddenly! The cup, is bigger too!

Then, knowing that I might be late, I quickly finished the burger and went to the busstop. I reached the busstop earlier, and the gate was locked. I saw Mr Sham and I tagged behind him to the other gate. The fking security guard let Mr Sham in and let me out!

I was like “WHAT” and tried to reason with the guard, asking him to let me in. Ok, fine I gave up after a while (he’s trying to do his stupid job anyway, blame it on the OM.) So I went up the longggggg slope.

[unlucky3] it felt stupid knowing that you cannot enter the school through the gate while your teacher can. WE ARE HUMANS AFTER ALL, and WE BELONG TO THE SCHOOL (in some way right). Not like I’m some outsider or what right? It is so stupid. I’m beginning to question whether the students’ welfare is actually considered…. STUPID.
Training was really not very good): I don’t know why it feels weird – my elbow positioning and my cheeking down right now – like I have to strain my muscles and it doesn’t feel like what I have done before. My internals yesterday was 371. I shot four 8s! OMG. 91 91 93 96. I think I need coach. Or Carol…

Ruilin was especially funny today. She wanted to scam the vending machine with Arina and I. I wanted to put something in my teachers’ letter tray so I didn’t witness their evil plan. HAHA. I’m surprised RL managed to get 3 bottles for the price of 2 in her first attempt! Bravo! AHAHA, I’m going to learn from her one day. Really, else my life would be incomplete as a student!

Then I went out for an outing with the Spartan people. It was fun meeting them again, especially the girls. :D But you know this feeling of being familiar with someone and yet feel like you don’t really know them well. You understand? Sometimes, we have much to talk about but not really talking stuff that can make you understand one better. Still, we’re friends

Anyway, glad that we had this outing. We ate subway for dinner and got chided by the security guard for sitting on the floor XD. Jinghan and Aaron was pretty RACIST people, but they were damn funny! Dawn and Xiaojun were really nice to chat with. Yixuan was having an angel-devil conflict with her thoughts about whether to break the rule of going back boarding school late or not and I think we were the devils that made her stay throughout the movie teehee, fun what! Daniel was the secretly racist person that sniggers at A and J’s racist remarks. Kannan was kinda sexist(lol) saying “I think Voldermort wanted to do It with Dumbledore” because he was above him (as he laid in his grave) and bowed closely and seemed to smell his face or laughed at the part when the horcrux locket was broken and Harry and Hermoine was kissing. Harry potter was awesome! Just that the ending with the wand flash into the night sky, LIKE THAT WAS HORRID. I WAS LIKE “WHAT!?” how can it end just like that!

YLTC.
I shall tell you the memorable parts of what I have experienced from this camp.
Day1: Trekking. We had no idea from the start that we trekked for about 5km at no displacement, until we realized that the end point is exactly the same as the start point. (I was more lag than my groupmates who realized it earlier than I did, haha) Along the way it felt great to show concern to your friends around you, whether they are ok and to help them with their load. Grateful and inspired by the kindness the guys offered in my group for helping me with my baggage too.  On the way, we came across a waterfall kinda landscape. Please don’t imagine it is those kota tinggi kind of waterfall that falls from a tremendous height. For what I can remember, maybe it fell from 10m, into the first pond. Then rocks at the edge of the pond cut it and water continue flowing until a second pond, and a third pond which was quite far below the first. Climbing up to the top, the first pond was a rather thrilling, stimulating experience. Danger and accomplishment.

I’M ABSOLUTELY WHINEY (WHINE) WITH SO MANY DETAILS EARLIER ON :D HAHA. OK, THIS POINT ONWARD IS CONTINUED FROM 13/12. TO THE POINT.

Day2: Expect the unexpected. I climbed a coconut tree! (HALFWAY. Or barely halfway… :/) It looks really easy how monkeys can climb a tree right! Being mammals and similar to us, why can’t humans climb very much the same way they do?  Apart from that we still: balanced on tyres, crawled under a net linking hands, balance the ‘Z’ obstacle, loop the tire-“OUR REBIRTH”. We created an awe-remembering lunch cheer too! “TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!” Finally the most awesome part is the Night confidence walk, which was totally unexpected for me. I was expecting those kind of obstacles like high beam, harness kinda, BUT NO. It was a mixture of fear, and curiosity, maybe a bit of thrill for me. It was my first time walking ALONE, in the dark, foreign bushy land. It was a forest, and god knows what danger might lurk in the bushes! I was so afraid some jaguar or bear in the bushes might pounce and attack me. HAHA, blame it on my imagination. :P The first part I was just chanting. The second part I thought the people who I love, and are important to me: Family, Friends, Teammates, and I also reflected on myself as a Daughter, A Friend, A Captain. These thoughts made me feel the courage which I needed to carry moving on. The lonely walk which started as stealthy, small footsteps changed to confident strides, and at a point it was like a casual stroll in the park.
*OH the best thing, was THAT I SAW FIREFLIES! It was a pretty sight =)

Day3: DID jetty jump 3 times! And smeared mud on each other, sing yee, xiao jun, dawn, all the Spartans :D. It was like mud spa (yeah and it was dirty), but the effects I think was the same :D I think my skin turned smoother after I washed it off.

Day4: Paintball challenge left me with a BIG, yummy donut bruise on my right thigh. Haha, I was shot in the final challenge! Paintball tests you on your team strategy and communication. It was really thrilling being able to shoot people. Now that I know it is relatively easy to get shot, I wonder, if this was a war, how long will I survive without getting shot? Hmmm.. Oh, and I felt really honoured to be selected by my group, and to represent the NJ team with the other guys in my group, since we won overall and had to challenge the trainers. It was a great feeling :D.

Oops, was it to the point. I think im overwhelmed with thoughts i had to pen it down here, still. Hahaha :)
