Today is noted as the World Suicide Prevention Day.Please refer to this website for more information http://www.nus.edu.sg/uhc/cps/ With free counseling services provided, you may now think more than twice before attempting the worst. OK.. Done with the boring information. Happy 15th Birthday To Me ! :) Is my mood. :):):) Is my mood after talking to Dex over the phone! Brendon A from 98.7 FM too, I wonder if it is true! I was laughing over the phone as I handled my hamster. I had to feed it because I was given orders by my jie. HAHA. He is so funny :D THANKS AH ! Today: We went out to celebrate with Peking Duck and a couple of Chinese dishes at the Yan Palace Restaurant. My maternal Grandparents tagged along. It was really quite a joy to see the way they eat. I could see that my grandma spilled some tea and a bit of soup from the side of er spoon while she was scooping the contents out of the soup bowl. Lucky there was the napkin on her lap. Hahas! We laughed a lot over dinner too. I really cherish the moments spent together now as a family ever since boarding term ended. I feel that I love my sister more because I really felt empty and missed her before. Before that, I went to Parco Bugis to shop with my parents. It was yesterday when we realised the food court at the basement was demolished. So, we ate KFC for lunch. I ate octopus takoyaki too (they called it different, but it tasted the same). Then they bought me a new pair of earrings, wallet and a new spectacles! Do you remember I said about wanting frameless spectacles! both sides are now 175 deg I got it (and threw the idea of having contact lens off my mind) :D Its expensive to me. But i'll treasure it. Thanks dad and mom. :) Grandfather Story /!\ Warning. On our journey back from dinner, my grandpap shared his childhood stories when he was in china in the World War II Japanese Occupation. I was quite appalled by his point of views and also by what he had experienced when he was younger. My grandpap.. with his other neighbours (who were all children) turned out to be in really good terms with the soldiers! The soldiers always made them "Heh Heh Kio" - " Ha Ha Xiao " - " break into raucous laughter ". The soldiers would also call them over sometime and they would trade cigarettes or food or even anything. His first job was a sugarcane seller, because he lived in a village located in a sugarcane plantation. He used to go 3km, far away from his village to catch fishes. The baits... were cockroaches. The soldiers even gave them cockroaches for bait as they caught it together, and they fished together, with my grandpap's friends. You may think my grandfather may speak japanese, but in fact, he never learn it. They communicated by sign language. (The way my grandpap "Bi Shou Hua Jiao" is rather amusing.) And.. after a day's of catch, my grandpap said they slept between the cemetries with 2 of his pals, despite having corpses lying near them. (I guess they were accustommed to it.) Then he wakes up for business, he sells youtiao and porridge to the soldiers too. When we asked him about the bad memories of the WWII, he said that it would be the soldiers too. When the villagers see the soldiers heading towards the village, all the ladies and girls would hide in the sugarcane plantation. This is because, if they do not, the soldiers would go and rape them. Thats true in historical text! My teacher used to tell me about her grandparents who lived in NanJing last time. So, the village is left with all the boys and the men. The soldiers could not find any ladies to rape. (which i found funny! how can there be kids without women?) My grandpap said that when a women was raped, the scene was horrific because the ratio is 1:10. Ten guys! Thats insane. My grandpap is not a chinese national, he is a singaporean. He has a brother with the same surname. And three other step sisters. Of which, we are close to one of the sisters. He was born in singapore, send back to and fro from china. Ah, I just love grandfather stories... A few moments ago: I received sweet wishes from.. Bernice (Barney Ho!) Jia Wei DAD (Pseudo XD) Dexter (Dexter Boo!) Claudia (CLOCK!) Rachel TEO Wan Zhen FARREN (Queen of Scallops) Sherine Peter SU Joseline Yi Kai Melvin Donovan Enqi Daddy (love) Thanks sweeties :) So long as it is a sincere with, i'll treasure it. I should really store a birthday calender in my phone, to remind me of your birthdays ! and now its time for bed. Dad is especially lenient to me today, maybe because it is special. I get extra time to use the laptop. back to the top? |
