Names
It was pretty hilarious that at work, when I have to make calls, people do not get my name.
I AM CALLED WENDY.

me: "Hi blahblah, my name is wenying calling from blahblahblah"
man: "wend?" "wendy?"
me: "oh, nope I'm WEN YING"
man: pauses
me: "its ok, you can call me Wendy"
man: "OK, WENDY"

NOOO I don't like Wendy as my name! HOLLY MOLLY. <-- div="" for="" holy="" my="" nbsp="" new="" replacement="" s="" t="">

ok my current two favs are:
1. gwen
2. gwyn

I like names that explains something, that comes along with a meaning or has a conversation behind knowing where it came from.

I like "gwen" because it has 'wen' in it,which is the first syllable of my chinese name. I'm pretty fine with it as a nickname. I like the 'g' in front of 'wen' to make it 'gwen' because both my parents' christian names start with G - George and Grace. I guess it would be nice to give myself a name that begins with the alphabet 'G'.
Gwen \g-wen\ as a girl's name is pronounced gwyn. It is of Welsh origin, and the meaning of Gwen is "fairwhiteblessedholy". Short form of Gwendolyn and Guinevere. In Welsh Gwen is the feminine form of Gwyn. Name of a fifth-century saint who was aunt of St David and mother of the saints Cybi and Cadfan. Often used as an independent name. Pop singer Gwen Stefani.
Gwen has 3 variant forms: GwennGwyn and Gwynn.
Baby names that sound like Gwen are GwinGeneGenaGeenaGwennyGwenniGwenna and Gwinn.

I like "gwyn" because it has no vowels which is unique and pretty rare, as I've seen nothing like it. It has the abbreviation of my name 'cwy - wy' in the middle. It begins with a 'G'. The 'n' and the back gives the name a nice 'n'-ding.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gwyn (or Gwynn) meaning "white" or "blessed" in Welsh and Cornish, may refer to the following:
Finally, the 'ying' in my chinese name means purity, crystal, clear. As in - 晶莹。
It kinda matches.

YAY :).
