Thursday, October 13, 2011 @ 12:17 AMRobert Frost, a Poet.
Had a really awesome night with farren :)Got my belated birthday gift, and feeling thankful to having such a friend. I feel lucky that I'm happy to be the way I am, and around with the people I love in school. One should not take such fortunate events for granted. I feel thankful that I can be MYSELF, and not be someone whom I do not want to be in school. Its good to be true. true to yourself. because that is when your thoughts and your actions are in harmony. and when your thoughts and actions are in harmony, you don't feel stressed. I'm happy to be a friend for them too :) Recently, I've been reading this wonderful book my mom gave to me as a present. here are some extracts I would like to share with you. "to overcome peer pressure, you've got to care more about what you think of you than what your peers think of you. read this poem, very apt: Any day of the week, I would choose to be 'out' with others and in touch with myself... than to be 'in' with others and out of touch with myself" And a quote that stuck with me for the past few months. (I knew the gist of it, but not the exact phrase until today) "Two roads diverge in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by. And that has made all the difference" - Robert Frost, a Poet. In life when we experience certain hard moments, diverging road moments, - or when you have to make a decision that may not be the popular choice - what I choose to do is to stick with instincts and do what you think is right for you. not because others are doing it. and if we are strong in them, it will make 'all the difference' down the road of life. Note to dad: I think I may not double check all the time - perhaps, its this inconsistency that made me lose things a lot. HAHA, tell you something. I went out with my farren to shop at nex today, and was carrying a half drunk starbucks in my hand. Then after visiting several shops and wanted to go to the toilet. I came out of the washroom and realised that my starbucks was missing. it disappeared from my hands and I just couldnt remember where it went to. I haven't finished drinking it, lol. --- now u understand me more. perhaps, I think the next great invention is some laser pen that can "draw" on daily objects, like waterbottles, pens, starbucks cups. its like the "burn-the-word-out-pen. (you should watch a video on Blepharoplasty, and how the CO2 laser kills the skin cells) So, in future I can rely on this laser pen, and write my handphone number on everything, and perhaps it should be temporary so my number only stays on the thing I use for a day, then it'll disappear. :) wow! brilliant! Oh yea, and I would be able to find my things only on the hope that a person with integrity picks it up, no point putting my handphone number on everything when the picker doesn't intend to return. Last thought, when I say that I am forgetful, I'm not entirely forgetful. I forget things, but not how someone has made me feel. Gotta sleep, eventful day tomorrow and the start of new training season. do them proud! love math too. goodnight :)
